How The System Works

As the Department of Motor Vehicles prints each Drivers License or I.D. card, an ultra thin reflective film with the state seal is bonded to it. This film guards against any tampering or alterations and makes it virtually impossible to fake, counterfeit or alter. Viewing the license or I.D. card through the 3M Confirm Verifier allows you to see the reflective film and state seal, so any changes are easily seen on the spot.

1	A break in the background pattern and fine cut lines shows where a picture was substituted.
2	Attempt to alter or typing over data.
3	Erasing appears as dark spots.
